Care and safety

Decorative lighting, not a toy and not task lighting. Keep plugs, adapters and battery boxes out of standing water and away from damp sockets. Switch off before moving or cleaning, and check the cable and fixings at the start of each season. Keep out of reach of children under three.

Setting up

1. Connect the power. Choose the battery box, USB lead or mains plug for your setup, then switch it on.
2. Fix the light in place. Use clips, hooks or ties on the structure — fixings are not included — and keep the run clear of doors and walkways.
3. Switch on and set the mode. Power on, then use the switch to pick the mode.

What do I need to power it?

A standard USB power source — a wall adapter or a power bank. An adapter is not included unless the listing says so.

Are fixings included?

No. Plan for clips, hooks or cable ties. Use removable hooks on painted walls, suction cups on glass and screw hooks on timber.

Will it survive rain and frost?

The strand is rated to the IP value above. Frost is fine; standing water and submerged connectors are not.
