Small clear balls, some with a star inside, on a solar run. Starbubble is the camping and balcony strand — light enough to hang from a tent frame and bright enough to read by once it is dark.

Choose your length

3 m covers a tent awning or a balcony rail. 6 m is for a small tree or a fence run. 10 m handles a larger tree, a garden line or a long balcony.

String it across a tent awning, drape a balcony rail, wrap a small tree or run it along a fence. In daylight the clear balls read as decoration rather than lights.

Before you order

Place the solar panel where it gets direct daylight. Pick a USB or battery version if the run is going somewhere shaded.

Setting up

1. Connect the power. Choose the battery box, USB lead or mains plug for your setup, then switch it on.
2. Fix the light in place. Use clips, hooks or ties on the structure — fixings are not included — and keep the run clear of doors and walkways.
3. Switch on and set the mode. Power on, then use the switch to pick the mode.

Care and safety

Decorative lighting, not a toy and not task lighting. Keep plugs, adapters and battery boxes out of standing water and away from damp sockets; the light strings themselves are weatherproof for outdoor use in the listed specification. Unplug or switch off before moving or cleaning, and check the cable for damage at the start of each season. Keep out of reach of children under three.

Is this the right light for you?

Choose it if:

• You want the run to follow a structure rather than light a wide surface
• You are happy to fix clips or hooks yourself (fixings are not included)

Look elsewhere if:

• You need to light a wide flat area in one go — a net light covers that faster
• You need bright task lighting rather than decorative ambience

Frequently asked questions

Does it need direct sunlight to charge?

Yes — the panel needs direct daylight for most of the day. A shaded panel will still switch on, but the evening run will be shorter.

Are fixings included?

No. Plan for clips, hooks or cable ties. Use removable hooks on painted walls, suction cups on glass and screw hooks on timber.

Will it survive rain and frost?

The strand is rated to the IP value above. Frost is fine; standing water and submerged connectors are not.
