Product details

Fine copper wire that disappears into a hedge, a railing or a planter, leaving only the light. Solstice runs on its own solar panel, so there is no cable to route and no outlet to find.

Choose your length

7 m is enough for a railing or a single shrub. 12 m and 22 m cover a hedge run or a small tree. The 32 m version is for a fence line, a pergola or a garden that needs a continuous run.

Styling ideas

Wrap a shrub, run it along a balcony rail, thread it through a trellis, or coil it into a glass jar for a table centrepiece. Warm white is the everyday choice; blue reads colder and wintry; multi-colour is for parties.

Before you order

Plan the solar panel position first — it needs direct daylight, not shade under the hedge. Measure the run you want to cover and pick the next length up if you are close to the limit.

Setting up

1. Place the panel in daylight. Face the panel towards the sun, clear of shade and away from sprinklers.
2. Fix the light in place. Use clips, hooks or ties on the structure — fixings are not included — and keep the run clear of doors and walkways.
3. Switch on for automatic dusk lighting. Power on once — the panel charges by day and the light comes on at dusk.

Care and safety

Decorative lighting, not a toy and not task lighting. Keep plugs, adapters and battery boxes out of standing water and away from damp sockets; the light strings themselves are weatherproof for outdoor use in the listed specification. Unplug or switch off before moving or cleaning, and check the cable for damage at the start of each season. Keep out of reach of children under three.

Frequently asked questions

Does it need direct sunlight to charge?

Yes — the panel needs direct daylight for most of the day. A shaded panel will still switch on, but the evening run will be shorter.

Are fixings included?

No. Plan for clips, hooks or cable ties. Use removable hooks on painted walls, suction cups on glass and screw hooks on timber.

Will it survive rain and frost?

The strand is rated to the IP value above. Frost is fine; standing water and submerged connectors are not.
